My One Not-So-Secret Secret for Better Internet
As the local "tech guy", I spend a lot of time troubleshooting problems for friends and family. Just the other day, my father was having trouble with his wireless connection.
He would be connected to it, but web pages would fail to load and downloads would stop before finishing. The problem was his wireless connection would drop and reconnect over and over and over!
So I suggested a solution: just connect it directly with a wire!
The only problem, his laptop didn't have an ethernet port, and his PC's ethernet port was broken from a lightning surge.
"Perfect!" I said to myself...
That lets you plug in an ethernet cable from a modem, or a router, directly to your PC or laptop!
"But I thought wireless was the way to go?"
That's not always the case! See, while wireless is handy for your back room or basement... if your computer is setup near your modem or router, there's NO REASON to be using wireless!
Dropped connections, packet loss, decreased speed, frequent pausing, and interference are pretty much unavoidable issues when you're on wireless!
But with a wired connection?
It's GREAT for laptops that don't always come with these kind of ports. Since wireless has become so common, they just don't always bother to give you a port for a wired connection.
But it's also the perfect solution to damaged/broken Ethernet ports or network cards!
Fixing those could be a huge hassle. It comes down to opening up your PC/laptop, or taking them into the repair shop. Of course, the repair shop is more than ready to charge you $100 just to look at your computer, let alone how much it'll cost for the fix!
That's really all it takes! I know it sounds too good to be true, but you don't have to open up your computer or anything like that!
Frankly, you should always be using a wired connection if you can!
I always do. Wireless is great, but it's just unreliable. We're paying a LOT of money for high-speed Internet... there's no reason to be throwing it away when a little adapter and cable are all you need!
Think this device blows your mind now?
Now you get to see the amazing deal too!
One of these is just $14.97 - That's a fifth of what you'd pay just having a repair shop look at your computer!
