I've done it, you've done it, and chances are... we'll do it again!
Underestimating just how hot your water is running can be a REAL painful mistake!
But sometimes you need the water to be that hot before you use it! And until now, there haven't been too many great ways to test it other than running your hand under the faucet real quick.
In fact, burns from water taps account for nearly 2,000 hospital visits and up to 100 deaths a YEAR! At temperatures of only 140 degrees, hot water can cause serious burns in just three seconds! And with children or seniors, it doesn't even take that long!
And in the Journal of Burn Care Research, it was noted that as of March 2013, over 27% of homes had hot water heaters turned up past 130 degrees!
If you've ever thought your hot water was TOO hot... you're probably right!
I've got the easiest way to take the guess work outta your water faucet!
If your water is below 104 degrees Fahrenheit, the light stays blue!
The moment it goes to 104 degrees or higher... BAM! The light changes red!
The nozzle tracks the temperature and swaps right at the 104 degree mark! Just glance at the light and you'll know if that water is safe or not!
(Oh, and they only turn on when the faucet is running! So you won't be wasting batteries all day if you're not using this!)
Your water will literally be color-coded for temperature!
You won't have to wonder "Gee, is it hot yet?" only to stick your hand in and realize yeah, it IS hot!
Even better, you'll be wasting less water! Sometimes you wait and wait and wait just to be sure... yeah, it's definitely hot when you finally DO use it... but how much water did you waste while you were waiting!
Sure, it seems like a little extra water might be insignifcant, but it adds up! Every dime matters!
And let's not ignore the cool factor! After all, lighting up your water certainly looks good!
The red and blue are great colors and make whatever faucet you use these on look amazing!
Speaking of, we tried these all over and they fit on every faucet we could find. They DO come with some handy adapters in case you need them though!
